What is reclamation and remediation?
Reclamation is the process of returning a site to its pre-disturbed state. Activities can include site contouring, revegetation, creation of micro-sites to support habitat development and final reclamation reporting.
Remediation is the process of removing contaminants from soil and water that may impact the ecosystem of a site. Activities during this phase may include soil removal or treatment, water treatment, tank removal and facility decommissioning. Site remediation activities required depends on the previous uses of the site.
